he Journal of Historical and Archaeological Research is a Bulgarian specialized scientific publication in history and archaeology. All articles submitted for publication in the journal are peer reviewed. The Journal is published by the Department of History and Archaeology in the Faculty of Humanities at the Konstantin Preslavsky University of Shumen, and the Editorial Board consists of authoritative scholars from Bulgaria, Turkey, Poland, Romania and Hungary. This is the only scientific journal in the region focused simultaneously on research and contributions in both the fields of history and archaeology. In its more than tenyear history, the Journal has built its scientific identity as an interdisciplinary publication that attracts authors and a wide readership from the countries of Southeastern and Central Europe. The “Journal of Historical and Archaeological Research” is a journal with an international research profile and publishes research of high scientific quality. Although regionally focused, the Journal is of interest to scholars from all over the world because it is the only one that presents research based on an interdisciplinary approach, mainly on the connections between historical science and archaeology, specifically related to South-eastern and Central Europe.
